Jacob Meador, the 7 year old son of Fellow Elk Member, "Jamie Meador and his wife Marcie" was diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma Cancer on Friday, January 15th, 2010 at Georgetown University Hospital.  This is a very aggressive form of cancer but fortunately it is very responsive to chemo treatment and results of the treatment are almost immediate.  Jake's stage of cancer was determined to be intermediate when diagnosed yet the success rate at this stage is very positive.
